The BIY Project works with individuals and teams to help them be more self-aware, resourceful and resilient.
Frequently we find there are unspoken assumptions about 'how things should be done' which restrict free thinking and creativity. We develop the opportunity for everyone to communicate openly, honestly and safely; promoting the confidence to engage in a spirit of mutual learning because that is a great environment to encourage creative, understood and owned ideas.
Supporting and trusting people to find their own answers particularly when 'off the shelf' or conventional approaches have 'closed down' rather than 'opened up' solutions.
With simple and flexible processes, and humour, we use both indoor and outdoor settings to explore new perspectives by 'doing things' rather than just talking about them.
Another way of explaining our approach is that to learn, or solve problems, is not always best served by sitting down in a 'classroom' or meeting room.
Our approaches are particularly effective in supporting men and those who want to engage or involve men more in what they do; but they are inclusive and across gender.
Our approach is inherently flexible but offer four outline packages which provide a framework for different situations. The packages are summarised below:
'Finding Your Team Solutions' - for the team or group to review the situation, achieve clarity and develop effective solutions.
'Deeper Group Communication' - for individuals and organisations working with people who buy their services. It explores how to take communication and understanding with clients to a deeper level.
'Snafu' - for organisations working with those feel, or are perceived to be, on the outside of society.
'Exploring Personal Reflection Outdoors' - invites people to experience new skills, value new and old ways of looking at things and recognise positive role models within ourselves.
These packages and their background are explored further on the BIY Project website: www.biyproject.co.uk.
