How does Coaching Work?

In work/organisational situations I blend a robust commercial intelligence with honesty, integrity and social conscience. As a creative thinker I help others overcome actual or perceived hurdles to achieve success.

I listen to what you say, and hear what you don't say.

Using coaching/mentoring methodology and intuition with the skills and experience as a business adviser I find solutions for your situation with you, rather than impose a 'consultancy solution' on you.

The subjects we cover, the agenda, comes from you.

The power of coaching is it identifies the core problems and solutions comparatively quickly and continues only as long as it is wanted.

And I use the term 'coaching' and 'mentoring' interchangeably rather than seek narrow definitions.

A really great definition of coaching is given by Robert Holden: "I define coaching as the opportunity to get into important conversations you would otherwise have been too busy to have"

Having these important conversations also increases your capacity to overcome future hurdles independently.
