Benchmark Coaching & Support

Coaching Style

Coaching with me doesn't 'just' mean a conversation. I work with all the senses - the cognitive, emotional, physical and intuitive - to guide us.

This means working on a deeper level, if you want a label you could call it 'Embodied Coaching'.

Humour has its part to play while also following a structure in my questioning and listening.

Believing we are all 'creative, resourceful and whole'.

There are a number of established methods or tools which I can introduce, for instance systemic constellations, to help create new understanding.

This doesn't exclude me asking difficult questions or challenging you, this process is firmly grounded in reality.

I create a 'safe and courageous' environment for you, which is a good place to start if there are some difficult questions you want to explore.

It is also a great place to explore your dreams and ambitions - or you could say to explore your 'highest purpose'.

I particularly enjoy problems/challenges where:

  • The solutions identified do not match the scale and complexity of the problem.
  • There is something blocking progress, but you cannot put your finger on it.
  • Or they are unusually 'thorny'.

When in a group setting I work to ensure all voices in the group are heard.

I have been particularly influenced by the approaches promoted by 'Coach U', 'Co-Active Coaching' and 'Solution Focused Embodied Coaching'.

I go into more detail in the 'Coach and Client Pledges' which I will happily send if you want to explore working with me further.

'The Power of Vulnerability'

Initially 'positive' and 'vulnerable' seem contradictory, but admitting our own vulnerability shows true self-confidence because we all feel vulnerable at some point.

I work to encourage people to relax within themselves, to find their 'authentic voice'. It's a theme that underpins and inspires much of what I do.

Please call or email me with any thoughts or questions you have.
